Strengthening representation for Uganda’s special interest groups
The National Secretariat for Special Interest Groups was established in 2024 by an Act of Parliament. It coordinates and supports national councils representing women, youth, older persons, and persons with disabilities. The Secretariat implements council policies, harmonizes programs, and strengthens institutional capacity. Through advocacy and coordination, it promotes inclusion, equity, and effective representation. The Secretariat contributes to inclusive governance and sustainable national development.
